1861Illustrated Plat Map of Noble County- this colorful reprint by the Noble County Historical Society is also the background of our web site. A work of art, this map includes platted maps of towns, location of pioneer landowners, schoolhouses, churches and burial grounds. Bordering the map are illustrations of 24 homes, businesses and county buildings of the era. Two examples of the original larger 55” x 52” framed maps are on display at the Old Jail Museum and in the second floor hallway of the Noble County Courthouse in Albion.
