From a paper of the early 1880’s, Dr. Lemon is the oldest medical practitioner in Albion, having been here for more than twenty-five years. He is a native of N. Y. state and same as a youth with his parents to Senecti, Co., Ohio, locating on a farm near Attica. He entered the office of Dr. Freeman, of Attica, and commenced his studies, subsequently attending the Western Reserve College of Cleveland, and graduating from the Medical Dept. He practiced 5 years at Attica, moving to Toledo and then to Albion in 1856, where we still find him in a well established business. He is a member of the F. &A. M.; the Noble Co. Med. Society and the N.E. Medical Society. In 1853 he married Miss Harriet Chandler of Attica, Ohio who died in 1858. In 1859 he married Miss Harriet Wheeler of Allen Township. Their children — Hattie, Anthony and Lillie.
