The Noble County Historical Society, Inc. is located in northeast Indiana, one county south of Michigan and one county west of Ohio.
The Noble County Historical Society collects, preserves and interprets historic artifacts, documents and photographs that are housed in the Old Jail Museum. Built in 1876 as the county jail, the museum is an architectural gem in the classic Second Empire/Gothic Revival style with its two stories housing both the sheriff’s family and prisoners until 1965.
